Frequency Forecast: Dec. 30, 2025 – January 5, 2026, as the Sun transits Gate 38, the Gate of the Fighter/Opposition
I hope the last week brought you glimmers of hope and bundles of Joy, as the Sun made its way through all six Lines of Gate 58, the Gate of Joy, between Dec. 25 and today.
Joy sure made its presence obvious in my personal life:
After an exhaustingly busy lead-up to Christmas, all I wanted to do was celebrate and chillax: to eat all the cookies, drink all the brandy, watch all the episodes, and enjoy time off with friends and family.
I made an effort to let perfectionism go, and called myself out when I realized I was sliding into feelings of disappointment.
How did the Sun’s transit in Gate 58 treat you?
Judging by the news headlines, it sure seemed like our world’s leaders didn’t get the memo that they were meant to spend the week spreading sunshine.
Apparently the U.S. bombed Nigeria on Christmas Day; Russia attacked Kyiv; a Syrian mosque was detonated during service; winter storms halted US flights; California flooded; North Korea announced more nukes; and Perry Bamonte of The Cure died.
What was there to celebrate?
Perhaps that Canada pledged billions to Ukraine; that Kkkaroline Leavitt is preggers; or that maybe a concept of a plan for our New Year’s Eve celebrations are finally coming together???
Cool…
but hold that thought.
Maybe give any ambitious, champagne-laced, going out-out plans some closer consideration.
Just before 6 p.m. this evening (12/30), the Sun will begin its transit in Gate 38, the Gate of Opposition, a.k.a. The Fighter.
So…I’m not saying you shouldn’t enjoy a night on the town.
I’m just saying…maybe now’s not the best time to mix it up with a bunch of people —
because all of humanity is about to become electromagnetically charged to square off.
Right around this time, every year, we humble humans get influenced by the Sun shining rays of Gate 38 at us,
infusing us with the energy for thumping our chests — literally or figurately.
At the very least, under this energetic influence, we’ll be more prone than usual to arguing against others just for the sake of being obstinate.
And the likelihood of us mouthing off is higher than normal.
So, proceed with caution.
Only, you’ve probably guessed that Gate 38 isn’t meant to be used for knocking someone out and winding up with an assault charge.
Rather, Gate 38, a highly individualistic, Capricorn energy, takes a fighting stance for a whole ‘nother reason:
to fight against injustice!
With the Sun transiting Gate 38, our body’s Root Center is being activated, which, you’ll recall, is that part of us that’s responsible for processing the energy of stress, pressure, our sense of time, and our ability to know when it’s the right moment to get-up-and-go, launch into action, or finally tackle a project we’ve been avoiding.
Here’s where 38 lives inside that Root Center in all of our bodies:

DO YOU HAVE GATE 38 ACTIVE IN YOU?
There it is, sandwiched between Joy (58) and Ambition (54), reaching out toward Gate 28, the Gate of the Game Player, in the Spleen.
Together, 38 and 28 can meet up to create the full superpower, which we call the Channel of Struggle.
Those of us who have that full 28-38 Channel of Struggle like to live our lives in the most challenging way possible.
We choose the difficult route through every forest;
not intentionally, but energetically.
Because taking the easy way is
A) boring,
and
B) unfulfilling.
“Why bother taking the journey if there aren’t going to be any dragons to slay along the way; no pitfalls to avoid or mountains we’ll have to climb?” asks the Channel of Struggle.
No thanks, straight-n-narrow path!
Gate 38, for its part, is poised and ready to tackle any beast.
Meanwhile, Gate 28 treats every twist ‘n turn of the trail like it’s just a video game; an opportunity to level-up in life.
For these two Individualists, challenge = fun + purpose!

Wrong turns? Yes, please!
Let’s drill down into Gate 38’s role in the Struggle, more specifically.
Gate 38 is a courageous, stubborn, highly pressurized and powerful energy,
and it’s activated in some of us because someone needs to have the audacity to protect the vulnerable, fight for the little guy, and stand up against injustice.
38 is, thus, the quintessential energy of activism.
No matter how many skirmishes the Fighter inadvertently finds itself Struggling in,
it only does so because its Root Center is under enormous pressure to fight against everything that’s morally reprehensible and just plain wrong.
Why?
Because 38 is on the perpetual quest to find meaning and purpose in life.
Just existing can feel, for Gate 38, downright depressing — if The Fighter has nothing to punch at; and if it believes it has no purpose at which to throw all its might.
So, doing something meaningful —
like, for example, taking on Goliath —
allows The Fighter use its extraordinary power of Opposition correctly.
When it chooses the right battles and reins victorious after taking down the most heinous adversaries,
that honorable 38 is able to reach its highest vibrational potential.
Having won a hard-fought battle and proven itself the victor in the fight over Good vs. Evil, the Fighter can finally rest.
Until it learns to master this, 38 can tend to pick fights with everyone, for seemingly no reason other than to be Oppositional.
38 needs room to show its individuality and wrestle its way through life in its own way.
The Fighter must carve its Individualistic path,
and it’s designed to push and shove whatever forces stand in its way along the trail.
Only…Opposition is safest for you, me, and everyone around us when we exercise this energy figuratively, not literally.
If you have Gate 38 lit up in your Human Design chart like I do, you are inherently hardwired to be the ultimate social justice warrior and one fierce advocate for the underdog.
If you don’t have Gate 38 lit up in your HD chart, enjoy a taste of purpose-driven ferocity as the Sun shines rays of 38 upon us all, from December 30th through January 5th.
Observe the effect it has on the people around you, notice whether they’re more stubborn or argumentative than usual.
Build empathy and understanding for the folks who carry this energy in their bodies at all times, since you’ll get to feel what this impulse to Struggle must feel like for them, day in and day out.
Then let this energy go by Jan. 5 without making fighting your issue.
I anticipate, or at least really hope, that a lot of folks whom we have wished for many months would grow a pair and finally stand up to the white supremacists in charge, actually will, during this transit.
Wouldn’t that be somethin’?!
But I also fear we could see an uptick in violence this week, as Opposing sides in the Struggle come together in a clash.
Whether you have Gate 38 activated in your body or not, if you haven’t yet learned how to use its power in the highest expression, you’re probably all-too familiar with time-out corners, principals’ offices, and maybe even jail cells.
Not that having Gate 38 in your Human Design chart automatically makes you a hardened criminal.
It just means you’re someone who’s just naturally prone to becoming Oppositional.
That’s each and every blessed one of us right now.
So we gotta use this energy the way it’s meant to be used if we want to avoid unnecessary violence this week;
if we don’t want to accidentally wreck a perfectly-decent relationship;
and if we want to enjoy the feeling of living a purpose-filled life.
Here are a few things to watch out for during the Sun’s transit in Gate 38:
Gate 38’s influence may cause us all to be more stubborn than usual, so we may find that we’re more argumentative than we typically would be.
You might notice that your ‘feathers’ are getting more easily ruffled under this influence.
Inquire as to why,
or at least take a pause to acknowledge that it’s happening in real time,
and try to remind yourself that the Sun in Gate 38 is having its way with us.
Also know that stubbornness can be a gift if we use it to stand our ground against unjust forces.
It can help us take action, when the time is right, to do something that actually makes us feel useful — especially in this Crisis-era Struggle we’re all living through now.
You might really enjoy the chutzpah that Gate 38 brings you this week, especially if you’ve lived your life as a doormat, a pushover, a ‘yes’ man, or a people pleaser.
Take advantage of the brazenness The Fighter offers and proclaim an emphatic, cathartic, “Fuck you!” at those to whom you might normally acquiesce —
Or not!
I really don’t want you getting fired or socked in the nose.
By all means, exercise discretion and do what you gotta do.
Just stand in integrity and use this energy to pick the right battles.
Remember that frivolous combativeness isn’t worth your effort or your reputation.
And know that everyone is a little more likely than normal to lash out, fly into a fit of rage or become oppositional for the next six days, especially if they’re not using their Root pressure properly.
Unfortunately, it seems that absolutely no one in the current U.S. administration uses their energy the way it’s meant to be used, so they’re all more likely, even than they usually are, to cause unnecessary Fights.
Lord, help us.
Hopefully, they’ll direct their violence toward one another and not at us or other countries…
<Gulp.>
⚠️Another unfortunate side effect of misguided Root pressure is depression.
Violence is, in most cases, wrong; and being Oppositional will get you diagnosed and medicated.
So, those of us who have Gate 38 were, as children, often punished, shamed, denounced, criticized and maybe even drugged for having expressed our innate, energy-driven impulse toward fisticuffs.
Ironically, as kids, we 38’s were doing the thing our Spirit Selves came here to do: Oppose!
We just needed a little help directing that energy. Instead, we got the belt, the wooden spoon, or detention.
Adults who aren’t in-the-know teach kids to bottle that energy up and hold it inside.
We hardly ever teach kids the right way to process-out their pent-up Root Center rage:
which is to do things like A) pushing and shoving against something it’s safe to push and shove against (floors, trampolines, punching bags, etc.)
and B) giving them a sense of purpose, i.e. letting them conquer meaningful tasks, helping them find a cause they feel passionate about and can Fight for.
Kids who aren’t allowed to express their Gate 38 pressure healthily wind up keeping it all inside, until they blow up (again) and dropkick their best friend, or internalize all that pent-up violence and aim it toward themselves.
And then they turn into adults who don’t have the skills to negotiate, compromise, engage in healthy debate, manage their temper, hear someone else’s side of the story, or consider the consequences of their actions.

Self-loathing and depression result from the lack of an improper energy outlet and from that feeling that you have no meaningful purpose in life.
And let me be clear:
Everyone has a purpose in life. It’s written write there in your Human Design’s Incarnation Cross. (Hit me up for a private reading if you’d like to discuss that.)
In the meantime, take this transit to express 38’s pressure healthily, like at a kickboxing or spin class.
Actually, factually stand up against injustice.
Pour all your chutzpah into a meaningful Struggle.
Fight the good fight; just do it ethically; using laws, strategy, your creativity — words, stories, humor or art.
Find allies, divvy up responsibilities, and everyone agree to lean into your strengths.
Save all that pushing and shoving for your yoga mat, the floor, or a punching bag at the gym.
Do’s While the ☀️ Transits Gate 38
✅let yourself search for meaning to discover what’s really important right now
✅use this week to figure out what’s actually worth fighting for vs. what’s trivial & a waste of your power, time, effort and money
✅embrace this opportunity to become an activist: stand up against injustice, fight for the little guy, use any privilege you have to protect those who have less
✅whatever you do, make sure it’s meaningful
✅trust that when you step into the right battles, you always win, because your soul knows you’re doing the right thing
✅lean into stubbornness and tenacity; these can help you fulfill your purpose & discover what’s meaningful to you
✅be an example, and guide others toward finding meaning in their lives, so that they, too, can discover what’s worth fighting for
✅Take Note: 38 is a ‘selective listening’ Gate, meaning that under its influence, you may or may not realize that you’re subconsciously blocking out important information and/or noise, and just ‘hearing what you want to hear.’ This isn’t meant to make you a bad listener; instead, it’s self-protection: selective hearing is your body naturally parsing through what’s meaningful to you and what’s not, helping you to avoid anything that would cause you to compromise your individuality or take you off-course from your quest. But it can cause you to miss critical info & disregard what loved ones are trying to tell you.
✅process out the stress in your body with regular exercise (esp pushing/pressing)
✅know that the Gate 38’s of the world are folks who subconsciously choose to struggle in life because the easy route would be boring and meaningless
✅remember that conquering a worthwhile, meaningful challenge is an honorable way to uplevel in life
✅if you don’t have 38 lit up in your Human Design chart, build a boundary around yourself and just watch this energy influence the people around you without making Opposition an issue you need to grapple with. Just build empathy for folks who do carry this energy in their bodies, and let it go by Jan. 5th!
Don’ts for the ☀️’s transit in Gate 38:
❌don’t bother getting involved with shallow, meaningless things
❌don’t pick fights for no reason
❌ don’t walk around with your fists up and your chest puffed out all times
❌don’t languish in feelings of despair and depression. Go find something meaningful and useful to do instead; something that gives you a sense of purpose.
❌don’t contribute to injustice; fight against it instead!
❌don’t whine and say “Poor me!” If everything feels harder for you in life than it seems to be for everybody else, you’re right; it is, because your Highest Self asked to come here to take on many challenges. If you’re not struggling, you’re not embracing the true spirit of the Fighter. And that probably means you’re bored. So go out and find something worthwhile to fight for!
❌don’t be generally antagonistic about everything (choose your battles!)
❌don’t be stubborn just for the sake of being stubborn
❌don’t forget to process out the stress in your body regularly; otherwise it can build until you can’t contain it any longer and you blow up like a volcano
❌don’t ignore signs of depression or low-back/hip pain; they indicate you’re suffering from bottled-up stress that needs to come out
❌don’t get to the point where you might blow your lid at any moment
❌don’t give your loved ones a reason to keep their distance or walk on egg shells around you
❌don’t convince yourself that your life has no purpose; everyone has a purpose in this lifetime. (Hit me up for a reading if you want me to help you discover yours. It’s baked into your Human Design chart.)
Who Are the Natural-Born, Gate 38 Fighters of the World?
Taylor Swift has Gate 38 illuminated in her Human Design chart.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy does, too.
Jasmine Crockett, Greta Thunberg, Elon Musk, Kevin Hart and Lady Gaga are all hardwired to be Fighters.
Plus Martin Luther King, Jr., and Princess Diana, as well.

🌍Stay Grounded This Week by Awakening the Spirit in Others
While the Sun hangs out in Gate 38, the Earth anchors itself in the Fighter’s opposite, Gate 39, the Gate of Provocation.
Another Root Center Gate that’s prone to antagonism and depression but which is meant to awaken the spirit in others.
Anchor yourself in this energy anytime you feel like you’re coming unhinged throughout this transit.
39 can also be rather stubborn and aggressive — but for a good reason:
it’s here to call out the B.S. in life,
to agitate, poke the bear, and stir the pot whenever it catches someone lying to themselves or to others.
39 is here to provoke people so that they start living their truth, damn it!
While 39 can make others uncomfortable and come off as somewhat sharp or rude,
its true gift is its ability to say or do something so discomfort-causing that it makes people actually feel a genuine emotion,
and cause them no choice but to have to admit when they’ve been denying their true majesty.
So, if you find yourself feeling like you’re about to punch a wall this week, remember that the proper usage of ‘Fighting’ energy is to do something meaningful, and that could mean doing something to evoke an emotional response out of someone who’s been in denial so that they finally wake up and come out of their trance.
Oooo, this could be good!

Want the Specific Line-Frequency of Each Gate? Upgrade Now to Receive The Daily Vibe!!!!
Big announcement, friends — we’re gonna try something new and see how this goes.
Please consider becoming a paying subscriber to SNP for just $5/month, and you’ll get a new feature series I’ll be sharing in 2026 — with a sneak preview today and tomorrow — called The Daily Vibe, which is actually something I used to do on another Substack, only this time, I’m doing it differently.
The Daily Vibe will give supporting subscribers a daily, short ‘n sweet summary of each specific Line of each Gate that the Sun is transiting, as it ticks through each day on the Wheel of the Year.
[The specific Lines are those numbers you see on your chart that follow the decimal points inside those columns at either side of your chart.]
For example, since we’re just starting this transit in Gate 38 today, we find ourselves at the 1st Line of this Oppositional Fighter energy, or 38.1, and that unique flavor carries a specific meaning and a specific frequency that’ll be making us all feel and behave in a certain kind of way.
(And if you’re born on a .1 day, you tend to show up very differently in the world than someone who was born on a .2, .3, .4, .5 or .6 day. Even if the Gate number stays the same!)
The Sun then moves into Gate 38.2 on Dec. 31st; into 38.3 on Jan. 1st, and so on until it reaches its full height at 38.6 on January 5 and moves into the next Gate theme, which I’ll cover in shorter but similar posts like you’ve been seeing all year.
If you want the deeper dive to understand those nuanced differences, then join me below the paywall.
Fwiw, I really don’t like using paywalls, but this material is comprehensive, deep study. It’s taken me literal years and my own money to learn it myself, so that I’m able to relay the meaning behind these frequencies in digestible, understandable, meaningful ways y’all will be able to use to stay stable in these crazy times.
So, keep your eyes out for The Daily Vibe’s super-specific nuggets of guidance, so that you know which frequencies are hitting us as the days go by,
so you can keep up with how we’re all being influenced,
so that you build awareness about the conditions in the air,
and so that you can shield yourself from them or learn how to avoid their pitfalls and wield them in their highest expression.
