The Sun and Moon are giving Gate 31, the Gate of Influence; Mars puts healthy boundaries on notice; and three planets in retrograde mean we have some serious issues to re-examine
We leave behind the energy for Stimulation and Storytelling as the Sun shifts out of Gate 56. But more razzle-dazzle is still to come with the next Sun transit and New Moon in the Gate of Influence.
Mars has us getting aggro about boundaries, Venus wants us to give and to listen, and Jupiter’s busy calling B.S.!
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves:
Mercury is still retrograde in tactical strategy; Pluto’s still got us crouching down to study the tiny deets, and Uranus keeps making us act impulsively.

Who’s Speaking as the Voice of the People?
July 24-29, 2025:
The Sun transits Gate 31, the Gate of Influence, activating our Throat Centers with the energy for sharing our charisma, influence & leadership skills when duty calls to serve as the voice of the people.
Gate 31 is the very Leo-esque archetype of a magnetizing, trend-setting, affable, chosen-by-the-masses-to-represent-us kind of leader.
This is the Influence(r) who’s brave enough to rise to the challenge of acting as the figurehead who can speak on behalf of the Collective,
because their voice is powerful but creates coherence and inspiration.
Unlike its cunning, strategic, behind-the-scenes, analytical partner in the Channel of the Alpha, Gate 7, the Army/Advisor, through which Mercury is currently retrograding, Gate 31 carries that special verve, that charm, that jovial charisma we can’t get enough of.
Gate 31 is known as the proverbial ‘George W. Bush’ kind of leader everyone wants to have a beer with.
Here’s where it lives in the body so you can see which part of you is being turned on this week:
Over the course of this six-day transit, I anticipate:
- a lot of chatter to come from those who hold or are trying to step into power;
- a bright light to shine upon those who just ooze that special know-like-and-trust factor;
- and more specific discussions around the topics of who we’ve chosen to lead us, elections, election integrity, election fraud, fairness, justice, consensus about which direction to take/where we’re headed next, mass appeal (or lack thereof) in our leaders, and democracy, generally, to hit the airwaves.

If so, it means you’re a natural leader who has the power to Influence the direction of a group and to speak on their behalf.
Lean into the high-vibe, full potentials of this Gate, and be willing to recognize and then let go of the shadowy vibes it can bring.
If you don’t have that 31 lit up in your Throat Center, just sit back, relax, and watch the show unfold this week.
Notice how themes around leadership, influence, power, our democratically-elected leaders (or fraudulently-elected leaders), cool trends, outdated/dead trends, and who’s got charisma vs. who doesn’t, rise to the surface.
This shockingly abhorrent topic of Trump threatening to have Obama arrested (in order to distract us from the Epstein case) is laughably low-vibe Gate 31. Talk about one faux leader’s hatred for a former leader who was so authentically admired.
Trump cannot stand knowing how much people respect Obama. He knows, deep down, he could never receive that kind of praise, so he’s going to punish Obama and try to force us to bow down to him. Ha! I can’t wait to see how poetically Obama lawyers up.
I’ll also be on JD Vance-watch and expect to hear a bunch more outlandish nonsense from KKKaroline Leavitt as she twists herself, and this unfolding narrative, into a pretzel.
If we’re hanging out in the highest vibration, we’ll leverage the frequency of Gate 31 as it bears down upon us to:
- enjoy the ability to effortlessly dazzle and charm others
- gratefully appreciate being well-liked
- take special note of those stepping into the limelight because whatever they’re talking about really resonates with the masses
- wait to be in invited, elected, or appointed to represent a group
- be willing to take advice and guidance from respectable, trustworthy advisors
- use our power of influence responsibly and selflessly
- receive recognition for having good ideas about which direction to go
- humbly accept if/when someone asks us to lead or represent them
- express ourselves authentically and uniquely, setting trends others want to follow
- act as a unifying force/bring people together in harmony & hope
- we may catch ourselves confidently uttering the words “I lead xyz…”
- make an impact through leading by example (“show, don’t tell”)
- think logically; share our vision for a new direction & exemplify how people can get there with us
- walk the walk
- be a team player, not a top-down commander
- delegate, champion & recognize others
- be attentive to the needs of our people
- be driven by a desire to be of service
But if we’re stuck in our Shadow Selves and wind up languishing in the lower vibrations of Gate 31, here’s what this week will look like:
- people trying to lead out of a need for attention-seeking; not out of the goal to be of service
- big egos that expect others to just shut up and do what they’re told
- arrogant narcissists making no effort to earn the trust of the people
- power grabs
- influencers who don’t wait to be invited, designated, appointed or asked to step to the front
- assuming others will follow, but not demonstrating how they can do so
- only talking the talk (not walking the walk)
- lack of awareness around what people actually want/need in their leader
- those in power being out of touch with/unconcerned for the direction the masses actually need to go in
- self-serving leadership
- wanting power only to control others or to gain visibility, ‘likes’ and ‘follows’
- fear of true leadership
- fear of responsibility
- fear of being recognized & relied on to actually deliver on promises
- lack of courage to face up to the realities of leadership
- a muzzling of those whom the masses really do respect and admire
- a resignation, quiet-quitting, or retirement announcement because, deep down, someone feels they’re not actually ‘good enough’ to lead

Stay Grounded in the Energy of Possibility
July 24-29:
As the Sun beams Gate 31, Influence, down on us, the Earth stabilizes itself in Gate 41, the Gate of Contraction/Decrease, activating our Root Center.
As such, in addition to the 10+ ways you can use your Human Design to stay grounded anytime you’re spinning out over what a shitshow this is that we’re living through, you can ground into the energy of Gate 41 while the Earth is rooted there.
Gate 41, located in the Root, is energy that’s under pressure to get ready to be wowed by life;
it’s crouching down;
it’s strengthening from the bottom up;
it’s making your legs super-strong so that when it’s time to jump?
You can rocket upwards higher than the moon.
And while you’re down there crouching, take a look at what’s closest to the ground.
Notice all the teeny-tiny bits;
the sparkling mica in the rocks. The fascinating potato bugs curling into the soil. The moss and the mycelia and their extensive, underground, interconnected family system.
Gate 41, Contraction/Decrease, an Aquarian energy, is filled with the power of seeing the magic in things.
So if you find yourself losing your shit this week,
look for potentials and possibilities anywhere and everywhere.
Notice the magic in things.
Zoom in on what’s fascinating, and funnel your energy into that.
Stay hopeful. Strengthen. Envision how good it’s gonna be.
Let yourself become aware of the tiniest details, for they will surely be clear if you’re willing to look closely with awe and wonder.
But don’t chase after every single potential out there, or you’ll get overwhelmed and burn out.

So we get double-the-power of this Decrease/Contraction, giving us the gift of appreciation for the teeniest-tiniest bits ‘n bobs that could really become something magical and huge but which typically get overlooked.
Pick one or two fascinating things you can really dig into and explore in-depth. You won’t have bandwidth to pursue every fleeting curiosity.
Reviewing Our Strategy and Direction
Now-July 25:
Mercury continues retrograding through Gate 7, the Gate of the Army/Advisor, activating our G-Center, through July 25.
Then, late on the 25th, it shifts ever-backward into Gate 33, the Gate of Privacy/Retreat.

Find Beauty by Creating Art
July 24-29:
Venus moves into Gate 12, the Gate of Caution, i.e. social caution, also activating our Throat Center.
In Gate 12, Venus begs us to beauty in life by zipping our lips and just listening for a change.
We’re being given the chance to take the angst and pain and fear and grief that people are expressing, and reflect upon it to then share it in a way that will evoke empathy.
We can’t just talk over people and say, “Oh, yeah, well, if you think that’s bad, listen to what happened to me…”
Venus says, “Really pay attention to what people are saying right now — and also receive the messages they’re not saying.”
This transit through Gate 12 emphasizes nonverbal communication, and reminds us to read and listen between the lines.
Reflect on what you infer and weave it into gold. Write poetry. Take photos and make a slide show. Play music. Breathe.
Turn what you’re hearing into a work of art; don’t hold it inside to let it fester.
Aggro Over Boundaries
July 25-August 2, 2025:
Mars transits Gate 6, the Gate of Friction/Conflict
The planet that makes us all riled up and get oh-so-passionate —
both sexually and aggressively, in our personal lives AND in global terms, like where war is concerned, and in our relations with other nations —
will make its way through the Mama-Bear/Tiger Mom of all the Gates, Gate 6, which sits in the Emotional Solar Plexus and is responsible for monitoring who gets in to our personal space, and who must stay out.
So this transit will be about exercising healthy boundaries.
On a personal level, Gate 6 is about establishing functional, mutually-beneficial unions that serve, nourish and protect our young.
It’s about vetting potential suitors.
And it’s about making a prospective member of our group demonstrate why we ought to trust them to be responsible providers who’ll pull their weight.
On a societal scale, Gate 6 can be about tribalism; someone holds the power to decide who we accept into our tribe and who we keep out.
And it’s about our survival as a species.
Who would it be wise to align ourselves with?
What nations ought we partner and collaborate with?
How can we work together to ensure our people survive and thrive?
These are the questions Mars is stirring up right now.
I hate to say it, but I’m concerned more violence could erupt over the immigration issue during this timeframe,
more news about this stupid tariff war will continue,
and I anticipate hearing more about the atrocities taking place in Gaza, Ukraine and elsewhere as opposing nations face off.
But we’d all do ourselves a favor if we’d take this transit to explore possible the partners with whom we can establish (or already have established) meaningful bonds, and agree to work collaboratively with them toward achieving a common goal.
Expand Your Consciousness through Spiritual Provocation
July 21-August 17, 2025: Jupiter transits Gate 39, the Gate of Provocation, activating our Root Center.
The planet that helps us level up in life — the influence that makes us expand and grow, even if we’re not trying to — is awakening the individual spirit right now.
As Jupiter transits Gate 39, we’re being provoked, prodded, jabbed in the sides — maybe to see just how much insanity we can take.
And this means that, at some point, we’re gonna have to start calling bullshit on the things in life that are utter nonsense.
That’s Gate 39’s special power: saying, “Wake up! It’s time to face the facts!”
Where are you lying to yourself? asks Jupiter.
What are you pretending is all fine but is actually festering below the surface?
What are you hiding?
Jupiter’s drawing it out of us through this transit, whether we like it or not.
Get Disciplined & Gain Clarity by Choosing Unconditional Love
Both Saturn, the planet of rules, regs, lessons and discipline;
and Neptune, the planet of murkiness, blurred lines, fog, confusion, and the spirit realm;
continue in their retrogrades for several more months,
and BOTH are hanging out in Gate 25, the Gate of Innocence, a.k.a. the Spirit of the Self.
This means our G-Center is being activated with the energy to review, re-examine, and refine our ability to show acceptance and to radiate unconditional love.
These two planets are forcing us to take a closer look at who we really are.
“Have you lost all reverence for humanity? For life itself? Have you no sense of awe or wonder or appreciation left about the majesty that is existence?” they ask.
Now-Nov. 27, 2025:
Saturn’s giving us some lessons in tough love.
It’s giving us a smackdown about being exclusionary,
about our tendency to shame others for expressing themselves in any certain kind of way that doesn’t conform to what we think is ‘normal’;
about refusing to accept others’ weird, alternative, ‘different’ ways of living.
And it’s going to keep offering us opportunities to stop being so focused on our differences and get better at accepting all ways of living in the world, until we get it right.
Now-December 10, 2025:
Neptune’s sure making us feel flummoxed, as far as who and what we ought to believe in.
It has us questioning what’s real, what’s important, and where we’re headed in life if we can’t find it in our hearts to love our neighbor.
Neptune’s testing us with all kinds of illusions that make us think we’re actually all different from one another when, in reality, we are all the same.
We may be feeling desperately jaded, beaten down by the cruelties of the world.
But our spirit guides and ancestors are whispering through the fog to tell us not to forget where we come from and not to lose our sense of wonder, awe, and Innocence.
We’re being commanded to get back in tune with how much love we actually hold in our hearts, to stop seeing the world for all its gloom and doom, and to stop denying the sense of pure, childlike awe and wonder we are capable of embodying.
Remember, Gate 25 is Christ Consciousness-energy.
With these big, outer planets both retrograding through Gate 25, it’s like we’re playing Monopoly and we just pulled the “Go back to jail, do not pass Go” card.
We’re being forced to go inward and reflect on how and whether we are valuing life for others, loving ourselves, and demonstrating unconditional love.
Let us do our best to pass this test.
Launch a Revolution through Spontaneous Insight
Now through November 4, 2025: Uranus, the planet that makes us super weird and which can also help us make major transformation in life, continues its long transit in Gate 20, the Gate of Now, activating our Throat Centers with the energy for in-the-moment contemplation and awareness of what needs to be said, right now.
It’s making us less patient, more impulsive, and more eager to take hurried action, so beware.
This one can have us jumping into things that sound like a great idea at first, but which eventually become huge pains in the ass we should’ve never bothered with.
But Uranus in Gate 20 is also, at the collective level, shepherding us toward a more AI-driven world, where information and understanding are at our fingertips, available right this very instant.
Notice attention spans shrinking, but clarity striking all of a sudden, more often.
And also, use your words with care.
Gate 20 can come with real bite;
offensive, critical language that can make us shudder.
So put on your armor and expect to hear people say things that might make you gasp.
But this energy also has a knack for homing in on who’s speaking the right message at just the right time.
Gate 20 is a talent scout, art critic and wordsmith wrapped in one. And when a person who just has that “it” factor walks in the room, 20’s gonna speak up and let them know.
Who knows — perhaps this could help us identify our next leader… y’know, that Gate 31 Influencer who everyone genuinely likes, who gets democratically elected to represent us and be a trustworthy leader that’ll take us in the right direction.
