Control, Trust, the Will to Prioritize Your Needs + More

The Family Forecast for March 30-April 4, 2025

This week the Sun transits Gate 21, the Gate of Control, sometimes called The Hunter/Huntress, other times called “Biting Through,” and still other people refer to this Heart-Centered frequency as the Resource Manager.

Whatever you choose to call it, 21 has the potential to serve up a healthy (or not-so-healthy) dose of willpower in us, from now through April 4, to:

  • demonstrate our ability to take care of business
  • exercise our individual sovereignty
  • maintain control over ourselves, our reactions, our attitudes and our responsibilities
  • fulfill our obligations to provide for the needs of our tribe
  • show just how trustworthy we are
  • remember that we, too, are deserving of goodness and abundance

Just keep an eye out for yourself, your kids, your colleagues and/or your neighbors tending to micro-manage every unnecessary detail of a situation,

or even completely lose control.

.

On the low-vibe side, this energy can have us turning into hyper-controlling power-mongers.

Your kids might get aggressive about what you’re letting them do and not do — anticipate power struggles because Gate 21 has all of us wanting to take the reins.

And we may feel particularly lacking — money-wise — under the influence of Gate 21, too.

Scarcity mindset and panic over the resources we don’t have could hit a high note this week.

The solution?

Remember: the Universe has a cheeky sense of humor. So the guidance under this energy is always to resort to surrender.

Loosen your grip on the outcome.

Release the need to be in charge of and/or micromanage every aspect of your situation.

Take personal responsibility, sure.

Mind your attitude, and keep your reactions to whatever life throws at you in check.

Stay in control of yourself.

But as they say in pop religion circles, Let go and let God.

How to Stay Grounded through this Sun Transit

Educate yourself, go deeper into whatever you’re feeling lackful about, amp up your knowledge base, and enrich yourself with lived experience

so that you can share what you’re learning with others and make their lives better.

The Earth may be moving under our feet, but it’s here to support us and provide stability.

Book a reading

It just so happens that the Earth now sits in Gate 48, the Gate of Depth, also called The Well. Use it to gain your footing if you’re spinning out (of control) between now and April 4.

That’s because 48 provides naturally grounding energy for the sometimes-edgy energy of Gate 21, and 48 is this never-ending curiosity for things;

it has us continuously going back to the fountain of knowledge to replenish our cup —

with more and more information, data, learning, understanding, and life experience.

“The more you know…,” as the 80’s-era, after-school-special, PSA’s always warned.

So it’ll be naturally stabilizing this week for us to follow our curiosities, educate ourselves, and deepen our understanding through having knowledge-building experiences.

Crisis Management Continues

Meanwhile, Gate 36, the Gate of Crisis, i.e., the Darkening of the Light, continues to play a prominent role in our skies and thus continues to activate our bodies throughout this week.

Here’s a quick refresh:

Gate 36 is that energy we covered several times earlier in March which sometimes wants us to catastrophize over every detail of a situation before we feel emotionally stable enough to move on.

In the high vibe of 36, we have the potential to let go of what no longer serves us; trust that the darkness will end if we look toward the light; and it can have us intentionally looking for all the goodness that’s actually available if we just let this cycle end, already.

But in the shadowy realm, 36 can have us staying stuck in the darkness rather than looking toward the light.

And it can make us choose to keep running on our emotional hamster wheels.

We might ruminate over all the bad things that are going on, and fail to let ourselves look at any of the good things,

we can remain miserable in the darkness rather than just turning on the lights to find our way out;

we can refuse to let whatever cycle we’re in come to an end,

and simply not allow ourselves to close a chapter that’s not emotionally supportive.Subscribed

At this time, three celestial bodies are making their way through this frequency of Gate 36:

the North Node is there, representing that thing we’re collectively working toward. This may sound strange — because no, we’re not working toward catastrophe and crisis.

Rather, because the North Node is sitting in 36.6, specifically, that means it’s reached the full, matured, seasoned culmination of its transit in this Gate. We just have to finish this sucker off, so there’s a little ways to go yet.

36.6’s unique flavor is ‘Crisis’ at its very best; the Role Model stepping ahead to lead us through the darkness.

It’s having faith in goodness, in the deep, emotional knowing that rightness and lightness always win in the end;

believing in the truth that the dawn always breaks and that the darkness literally destroys itself. It must…

Venus is also currently retrograding through 36.6, specifically, giving us a do-over to get things right in this area of creating crises. Venus represents our values and our relationships. So perhaps it’s asking us to reflect and reconsider:

  • Are we done wreaking havoc or are we gonna adjust our values finally so we can move out of this catastrophe-causing era?
  • Are we tired of ruminating over all the bad things?
  • Are we finished choosing to keep ourselves locked in this darkness?
  • Can we let this patriarchal reign of terror on humanity, on nature, come to its bitter end, already?
  • Can we stop wreaking havoc intentionally, and let goodness come into the light?

To really drive this topic home, it’s worth mentioning that Saturn now transits Gate 36.2 — so we have yet more opportunity to examine how we’re going to move through this difficult, chaos-causing cycle.

Saturn is our teacher, or our strict dad, or the coach that’s always harping on us from the sidelines. It represents the thing that disciplines us and sometimes even punishes us.

With Saturn transiting the remaining ‘Lines’ of Gate 36 from now through May 4th, we can expect the next month-ish to give us yet more opportunities to learn hard lessons about whether we’ll continue to create unnecessary chaos, languish in the darkness, or allow the cycle that’s O-V-E-R to come to its natural end and finally let some light shine in.

Holding On To Innocence

Here’s a little boost to close out this post:

Mercury is still retrograde, but it’s shifted into Gate 25, the Gate of Innocence, a.k.a. the Spirit of the Self.

Mercury, mind you, is what we’re here to communicate.

Meanwhile, as of a few days ago, Neptune started hanging out in Gate 25 as well, and this is brand new for our generation — a real pivotal shift. Very exciting!

Guess where Neptune had been, just before this? Gate 36. You guys, we are evolving out of this darkness!

If you’ve been here for a while, you’ll recall we covered Gate 25’s frequency recently too — the Sun just made its transit through this Gate and it’s been a prominent feature in the skies, so we’d best pay attention.

Gate 25, the Gate of Innocence or the Spirit of the Self, in the G-Center

25 is about Christ Consciousness, remember? Unconditional love? Tolerance and acceptance without judgment? Seeing the good in all beings? Looking at life through the eyes of a child?

Or, on the flip side, this vibe can make us feel like our spirit is broken, because we may have let life get us down. So that now we may be jaded and our attitude about the world is giving Eyore from Winnie the Pooh, because we’ve lost faith in humanity and now we generally see people as bad, or at least we see glasses as perpetually half-empty.

Mercury is giving us a do-over here, to try and get this right, so let us ask ourselves:

  • What messages are we sending out into the world, into our communities, to our families and even to ourselves, about lovingkindness?
  • Are we communicating the belief that all humans are shit and that society is doomed?
  • Or are we broadcasting the signal of goodness, faith in humanity, and unconditional love???

Neptune, by contrast, represents our subconscious, our dreams, our intuition and even our ancestry.

I know I am thinking a TON these days about my ancestors, and so much about the truth of their suffering has come to light lately, so I’m digging in and learning as much as I can about them right now.

I didn’t make that connection about Neptune stirring up the stories of our ancestors from the subconscious until yesterday — realizing just how prominently my great-great grandparents and their dangerous sojourn from Ireland after the potato famine have been weighing on my mind.

Perhaps you’ve been hit with this kind of nostalgia “out of nowhere,” too?

I wonder if those who came before us, who also endured difficult times — plus our subconscious and our intuition — are all screaming at us from the heavens right now, with Neptune up there hanging out in Gate 25, telling us to just choose goodness and kindness and unconditional love.

That feels right to me.

Hang in there, folks.
