Happy Birthday to Tom Brady, American football legend! In Human Design terms, this world-renowned quarterback is a 4/1 Sacral Generator with a Juxtaposition Cross of Retreat. Here’s my 5-minute summary of what that means.

I’m not a football fanatic and I know practically nothing about Tom Brady. But I found out that he’s turning 46 today, so of course I’ll wish this Leo a very Happy Birthday!
A quick pull of his birth details, thanks to Astro-databank.com, and a plug-in on my handy Human Design chart generator, reveals that this repeat Superbowl champ is a 4/1 Sacral Generator with a Juxtaposition Cross of Retreat.
WTF does that mean?! Here’s my 5-minute summary.

Strategy & Authority
This world-famous quarterback for the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers has Sacral Authority, meaning he knows what he wants in an instant by virtue of his body signaling a strong yes or no when posed with a choice.
He is built to respond: to his environment, his world, and everything taking place around him. He performs best when he lets something arise that sparks his interest, curiosity, imagination, and whatever action he’ll take next.
Profile
He has a 4/1 Profile, meaning he needs his team, his people, his family and network nearby — his peeps are incredibly important to his survival and to his feeling safe and secure. He’s always investigating and researching and looking to his network to build a strong, secure foundation.
Incarnation Cross
He’s got the Juxtaposition Incarnation Cross of Retreat, as his Conscious Sun is in Gate 33, the Gate of Privacy. This Gate happens to be in full effect right now, as the Sun is transiting through it, just as it does every year in early August.
For Brady, it means that retreating from public view regularly, and having his privacy honored, is essential for him.
While he’s in his private space, he needs to replenish his energy stores and take the time he needs to review what’s happened so he can learn the lessons he needs to learn in order to move forward.
The fact that he’s got a Juxtaposition Cross suggests his life path is fixed. There is one path and one path only for him; very little will derail him from where he’s headed or from what he’s meant to accomplish during this lifetime.
Energy Centers: Defined vs. Undefined
With an Open Emotional Solar Plexus, Brady is someone who’s taking on everyone else’s sadness, elation, and every other emotion they’re giving off.
Given his openness here, it would help him to remember not to confuse their emotional baggage and turmoil for his own. He’d benefit from spending plenty of time alone (Retreat!) to let all their big feelings drain out of him.
Brady’s got an Undefined Root Center, so he’s taking on the pressure of everyone else in every situation (hello, QB! Hello NFL fans!), and feeling the constant need to release that stress any way he can. No wonder he can run with that ball so fast and blast through a wall of muscle.

He’s also got an Undefined Heart, so he’s always trying to prove himself worthy; an Undefined Head & Ajna, so he’s openminded but also absorbing others’ thoughts and opinions, potentially confusing them, too, as his own.
His Defined Sacral Center makes him magnetic AF, and his vitality is downright palpable. Just look at the guy!
He’s got loads of physical life-force energy for go-go-going, but again, that Gate of Privacy is begging him to retreat & recharge.

Defined Gates and Channels
He’s intuitive (defined Spleen & Gate 57);
knows exactly who he is and where he’s going in life (defined G Center, Gates 1 & 2, Juxtaposition Cross);
great at communicating and expressing himself (defined Throat);
has found his own rhythm and is in tune with the timing & routines that are best for him (5-15 Channel of Rhythm);
is a fountain of knowledge and shows raw talent in his realm (16-48 Channel of the Wavelength);
is socially cautious (Gate 12);
driven to make progress (Gate 35);
designed to leave nothing undone and to carry things over the finish line (Gate 42);
is sensitive, desperately wanting to be wanted & loved (Gate 19);
and finds himself either shocking others or by being initiated, himself, through life by a series of shocking events (Gate 51).
Think this sounds like Tom Brady? I wouldn’t know; I’ve never meet the guy but I have watched him win a Superbowl or two.
(Incidentally, today would have also been Tony Bennett’s birthday. We said farewell to him recently upon his death, but we’ll wish him a happy birthday too.)
