Ready for Lift-Off

If you’re readying this in early July, then you’re likely feeling the effects right now of the Sun transiting Gate 53 in our Root Center, the Gate of Beginnings, aka “Development.”

Earlier this week, I was fueled by the impulse to repaint my kitchen. This task was long overdue. With refurbished, mismatched trim pieces around the doors and windows that my husband had hung months ago but that we’d just left unaddressed, I just couldn’t let this go any longer.

There was even a section of naked drywall waiting to be primed after we’d had a chimney torn down and a new wall hung to make room for more insulation and counterspace.

Great progress in a house that is perpetually under renovation. But in a room where we spend what feels like 90 percent of our lives, I knew this glow-up had to be done.

Our kids had gone to sleepaway camp for the first time ever, so we wanted to seize the opportunity while they were gon to put the kitchen out of commission for a few days without causing disruption to family meals.

(Do you know how many times per week my son announces he’s going to bake a cake? Many. Many times, okay? His food inventions kinda take up a lot of bandwidth and space in that busy hub of the house!)

While I don’t have Gate 53 designed in my chart, I’ve sure felt its presence this week. The impulse to address this long-avoided reno was unavoidable.

My husband, a 5/1 Manifesting-Generator who’s a powerhouse and Jack-of-All-Trades in every way, naturally, can’t stand to finish things he starts. But was in full support of the endeavor, though he couldn’t be super involved because of his work schedule.

So, painting this room was kinda up to me to initiate and sustain. Being a Manifestor, I doubted my follow-through capabilities. But I’m learning to get in touch with the immense power in my Defined Root Center. And I could feel this 53 pressure for starting something new coming a few days before it actually arrived.

“I’m glad you have the energy for this,” Andrew told me when I started taping off the cabinets and scrubbing old grease spots off the walls in preparation.

“I don’t really have the energy, per se, but I do have the motivation,” I said.

“Interesting difference,” he replied.

Thanks, 53. I’m happy with the end result. (The color is Sherwin Williams Full Moon, if you care, and it’s a very pretty, soft yet bright yellow.) And I’m thrilled to enjoy the new season we’re in of a different-feeling kitchen.

High-Vibe ‘Go’ Time

Gate 53 brings the energy to start something new. It forces us to finally buckle down and take care of that issue we’ve been delaying for too long. It senses that an old cycle has been completed, and that a new one is primed and ready to rock.

Pressurized by pulses in the Root Center telling us it’s ‘go’ time, 53 becomes a launchpad for lifting off into a new venture.

That’s because 53 is forward-facing. It’s not one to look over its shoulder wondering what it missed or perseverate on the past.

Instead, 53’s eyes are on the prize of the future and all the excitement that might hold.

Call it naivety or call it refreshing optimism, the Gate of Beginnings sees opportunities everywhere. It’s fueled to initiate based on its ability to sniff out potential everywhere it looks.

IF we’re following our Strategy and Authority, that is.

In alignment, it sees all of life as one big possibility, trusting in the guidance of divine wisdom.

It is ace at initiating in this regard; at using Root force to rocket forward. And it gets others inspired to kick off new projects as well.

In its highest expression, 53 knows that some way, somehow, help will arrive to carry its creations through to completion.

Even though I started painting the kitchen on my own, and even though my husband made it clear that he wasn’t really going to be available to pitch in, I didn’t care.

That didn’t give me pause or hesitation; I didn’t doubt it would still get done, somehow, with plenty of time to dry before the kids got home from camp.

And, wouldn’t you know it, Andrew couldn’t resist his own 53 urgency to help after we’d warmed up some leftovers in the microwave one night. While I finished edging around the baseboards, he dove in with the roller and slapped Full Moon on the walls faster than I could’ve ever imagined.

(Hooray for MG efficiencies!)

Gate 53 doesn’t necessarily focus or worry on the end goal; it’s the excitement of introducing some fresh new thing that provides it satisfaction.

Kicking off some cycle in a different direction feels natural and replenishing for someone who has this energy lit up in them all the time.

And, as I’ve said, we all get to sample this energy as the Sun transits through it in the summer, even if it’s not lit up in our bodygraphs.

But watch for some of the shadow indicators that can often accompany 53.

Knock-Knock! Who’s There? Overwhelm!

In the low vibe, 53 starts too many projects at the same time.

And then? It gets consumed by worry over how, on earth, it’ll finish everything all by itself.

This energy is at risk of burning itself out, and can live in a state of lack or scarcity that comes from believing it’s under pressure to finish all the things it has started alone, despite not having the time, strength, skills or wherewithal to actually accomplish what it’s set out to do.

No wonder we often feel like we’re creating mayhem and a sense of eternal panic in ourselves!

A misaligned 53 can ultimately reach the point of freezing, and accomplishing nothing due to all the things it has launched without a plan in place.

Alternatively, 53 can be so out of touch with what it truly wants or which direction it should head into that it has no clue what to actually start.

It sees too many possibilities everywhere it looks. Too many shiny objects it wants, and too many experiences it could throw itself into.

Which makes it lose sight of what’s important, entirely.

It seems to have forgotten that everything in life has a pattern; that all stages and seasons are cyclical. They all start somewhere and eventually gotta end.

In order for it to thrive, 53 needs to get in tune with the natural rhythm of whatever cycle it’s currently in. And it needs to not jump ship too soon out of that current cycle before shifting into a new one.

Why? Because 53 will be handed the same damn situation all over again that it didn’t fully cycle through the first hundred times and didn’t fully finish.

Until it learns its lesson and understands when a cycle has fully finished, it might keep pedaling into the dark chasing something new, sometimes kinda recklessly.

53 is also prone to hanging onto an old cycle that’s been dead for a long time. It stinks, it’s rotten, it’s O-V-E R. And yet, a shadowy 53 can insist on staying put even though life has moved on without it.

Either way, it means 53 is out of sync with its natural gift of knowing when an old cycle has completed and a new one is ripe for blossoming.

53 has eager energy here to start something new, sure.

But it’s got to release its death-grip on how to get that thing over with once the cycle has begun, and just let life unfold as it will.

It will benefit by surrendering to the truth that help will arrive to keep it pedaling in the right direction.

Full Channel Power

This energy is great at kicking things off, but it needs the energy of Gate 42, The Gate of Increase/Growth, at the opposite end of its channel in the Sacral Center, to finish things to completion.

42 is an awesome partner for finishing things off. For those who have both Gates defined to make a full channel, you are gifted with the power to both start, and end, things all by yourself.

But a 53 who’s flying solo would do well to invite help in, let folks know what it’s planning, generate enthusiasm around a thing to entice others to jump onboard, and even go so far as to assign members tasks.

And then? It can try letting go of the reigns — just a little! — by trusting that their idea, project or endeavor will eventually come to fruition because it’s in good hands.

53 will get supercharged around someone who has 42 energy if it doesn’t have this full channel itself. So, if you have only the 53, try to notice in whose company you feel empowered to get all the things accomplished! They just may carry the 42 energy you need.

And wouldn’t that gal make an excellent business partner? Huzzah!
