Warning: Aggression Over Values, Ethics, Norms & Traditions

Mars transits Gate 50, the Gate of Values: Sept. 16-25, 2025

“Integrity is choosing courage over comfort; choosing what is right over what is fun, fast, or easy; and choosing to practice our values rather than simply professing them.”

—Brené Brown

Mars moved into Gate 50, the Gate of Values, a.k.a. the Cauldron, a.k.a. the Maestro, earlier this week on September 16th.

With it, our focus is being pulled toward the values, norms, and customs we’ve been upholding.

As such, you may notice people becoming passionate, aggressive, and likely acting immaturely over these particular issues, between now and September 25th, 2025.

Here’s a sample Human Design chart showing where Gate 50 lives in the body, so you know which part of you is being electrified during this transit:

You’ll note this chart belongs to famed author and researcher Brene Brown, and I’ve indicated that she has Gate 50 in her Unconscious Mars placement.

Meaning, Mars was transiting through Gate 50 in that critical period when her Unconscious personality traits were being emblazoned into her alchemical makeup, and so she carries the traits of Gate 50 in her Unconscious operating system.

Mars is that thing in us that we tend to get aggressive about, passionate about, and to potentially revert to our childhood ways over.

Values, it turns out, is a huge piece of who Brown is, which is probably why she talks about them ad nauseum.

(The quote at the top of this post was one of many she uttered specifically on this topic. I chose this one because it felt most fitting.)

One could say she’s passionate about this topic.

Because that’s what Mars does: it makes us hyper-convicted about something.

Look on your own chart to see what Gate is assigned to your Mars placements, both Conscious (on the right-hand column) and Unconscious (on the left).

Whatever number is there is the thing that gets you all riled up, which you feel particularly passionate about, and which you might even tend to act immaturely over.

If you don’t know what the number next to the Mars symbol means, download a copy of your customized Gates report, Reclaim the Power You’ve Always Beheld, for a full rundown of all the powers you carry, with tips on how to use them to reach your full potential in life.

That brings us to today:

We’re now in the midst of Mars trotting through Gate 50. It’ll make its way through all six Lines of Gate 50 by Sept. 25.

This timeframe begs us to examine who we are as a people;

to decide, together, what we really value.

I’ve heard a lot of people lately — Adam Kinzinger comes to mind from a recent post he shared, but loads of others, too — saying things about the state of our country to the effect of,

“What are we doing?”

“Is this what we’ve become?” and

“This isn’t who we are.”

We are not a fascist nation.

We are not a land of Gestapo kidnappings and in-cold-blood assassinations.

We are not a people who muzzle free speech.

Are we????

These issues are prime fodder for Gate 50.

So it’s critical that we take this time to really pull back the curtain and have a long, hard think about the values we hold dear, the customs we’ve been keeping, the norms we’ve carved out for ourselves and the ethical boundaries we keep.

Because Gate 50, The Maestro, which is here to orchestrate us toward syncopation, cooperation, harmony, and mutually-beneficial survival, won’t settle for less.

I always say this energetic frequency is like the gentle-but-no-B.S. father figure who proclaims,

“I love you. You’re welcome to stay here and be a part of our family. But if you don’t like our rules, you’ll have to leave, because this is how we do things here. ”

Mars in Gate 50 will have us getting passionate like this — and very possibly, aggressive — about the customs and traditions we hold dear;

and it could cause us to realize that some of the codes of ethics we’ve been upholding don’t actually serve our communities.

The magic of Gate 50, however, is when it helps us decide to upgrade, overhaul, or modernize our outdated norms so that they actually do meet the needs of everyone in ‘the family.’

Either that, or do away with them altogether.

Mars is that planet that’s often affiliated with war and sex.

So I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if, during this transit, the Orange One and his minions pull more military tactics with regard to issues surrounding ‘American values,’

or if they attempt to enact more violence against reproductive rights, claiming their holier-than-thou Christianity.

Puke.

Notice, in yourself, over the course of this transit, whether the following topics bring on a bit more heat than they usually would, as they arise:

  • issues over what you stand for and what you’ll tolerate,
  • how you believe things ought to get done in your household,
  • what norms and traditions are worth keeping, which ones need to be updated, and which can be put to rest,
  • and arguments over who is, or isn’t, following the rules that everyone else has agreed to follow.

This ought to be interesting.

Stay strong, friends. We’ll get through this together.
