Gate 26, the Gate of Integrity, aka The Egoist, aka, Taming Power of the Great, is a Tribal energy that’s incredibly convincing.
It can see the good in things, and has a knack for presenting to the world a very compelling argument for why others should buy into that product, belief, service, process, idea…
That’s why every time you’ve ever looked up Gate 26 on Google, every entry says people with this energy are “good at sales and marketing.”
But it’s so much more than that.
Gate 26 gives a person a great memory for recalling what’s worked in the past: this is a remnant of our ancient, caveman energy that kept our tribes safe and alive.
It has the potential to give a person a solid, healthy-egoic sense for persuading others to follow whatever it’s saying:
“This worked for me, and it can work for you, too. Trust me…”
All in the name of keeping its family, team or community safe, healthy, and surviving.
That’s why it’s often referred to as the “Transmitter of Truths.”
Yes, it’s absolutely a great quality to have if you want to go into sales or marketing. But it doesn’t mean that you won’t be a good copywriter or advertiser if you don’t have Gate 26 in your chart.
With Gate 26, you just need to be aware of the effect you have on people: they pay attention to the way you present things. Something about you just exudes a certain kind of charisma that others tend to believe. Use it wisely.
It is often subtle, barely noticeable. But know that folks are subconsciously looking to you to determine whether to buy into a thing, or not.
Some Challenges of Gate 26
On the challenging side, 26 can turn into a manipulative liar. It gets out of integrity and works to convince others of things, just to serve its own selfish needs.
It can look through rose-tinted glasses and fail to acknowledge hard truths, painting a picture that “everything is fine” when, truly, it’s not.
Likewise, the low-vibe 26 has a tendency to exaggerate. It can toss red herrings out so others will only see what the 26 wants it to see, and it wishes and prays that others don’t notice what’s wrong with whatever it’s putting on display.
The misaligned 26 is often thought of as the sleazy car salesman, or the peddler of snake oil: presenting falsehoods from a place of low self-esteem.
So, if you have this gate, consider what you’re transmitting: are you presenting ideas that are truthful and legitimate? Are they coming from your healthy, aligned ego that wants what’s best for your people?
Or are you presenting falsehoods meant to pull the wool over someone’s eyes (even if you don’t consciously mean to be doing so)?
