The Drive to Rise Up

Gate 54 is the energy to get ahead in life and achieve. It has the power to do that, too, by virtue of it always being under pressure, as another one of our Root Center gates.

It’s got a big-visionary drive, and gets a big push from the earth below to get things going.

This drive to make stuff happen brings an entrepreneurial spirit to the person who’s lucky enough to have Gate 54 activated in their chart.

54 is a solid starting place, located toward the base of the body graph, and it has nowhere to go but up.

High Vibe: The Power To Transform

54 knows that transformation and success are possible. It has the power to “transform” the material and spiritual wealth of itself and its tribe, via its connection to Gate 32 (Continuity) in the Spleen.

Together, these Gates create The Channel of Transformation.

Without Gate 32, however, 54 searches everywhere trying to figure out what to focus its energy on and what to do next.

It needs to head itself in the right direction in order to really accomplish its big vision. That’s why it needs a little help from its friends.

What’s Good For Me Is Good For My People, & Vice Versa

The great wisdom of Gate 54 is that it knows it can’t accomplish its goals all by itself.

This energy falls within the Tribal Circuit of the bodygraph, so it very much operates on a tit-for-tat, give-and-take, bargaining basis.

The “Marrying Maiden,” the I’Ching’s name for this energetic frequency, comes from the young girl who was married into a powerful family to a husband she didn’t really so much care about. But as the lady of the court, she positioned herself as likeable and loveable by all the right people, so that when her husband, the Emperor, passed away, she easily assumed power rather than meet the fate that was customary for women in some Asian cultures thousands of years ago: to be put to death alongside their dead husbands so that they could spend eternity together.

She literally saved her own ass by making powerful connections.

So, too, does the Gate 54 have the potential to master this art.

When Gate 54 is supported by a well-positioned, influential mentor, guide, colleague or friend on its journey to succeed, it will doubtlessly achieve the goals it sets out to accomplish.

THEN, it gives back to its Tribe, takes care of others less fortunate, and transforms the spiritual and material well-being of all the Tribe’s members.

With 54’s ease at up-leveling, it understands what it’s like to scramble to get by, to work its way from the bottom, and to ultimately rise to greatness.

So, this energy, in its highest expression, can freely give back to its people so that they, too, can rise up.

The Need for Patience, Restraint, Support & Thinking Outside the Box

Despite its impulse to charge forth to conquer its many missions, Gate 54 must wait for the right time to act.

It also needs to remember not to chase every single goal or good idea that strikes, or else it will diffuse its power.

While it’s always under pressure to bring about abundance, and may want to force every possibility into fruition, it will inevitably hit brick walls and be doomed to a series of failed product launches if it doesn’t have patience.

54 can burn out easily and ultimately accomplish nothing if it uses its energy incorrectly.

But when it waits for the right moment to arrive before launching into action, doesn’t waste its precious energy, and is spurred along by the right helpers who have 54’s best interests at heart, success is guaranteed.

Low Vibe: Power, Greed & Cheating

Gate 54’s drive to succeed can, in the most misaligned among us, show up as the unquenchable thirst for power. It can make people lie, cheat, sleep or steal their way to the top.

It operates best when it collaborates in partnership, accepts guidance from those in higher ranks, and allows support to appear to help it on its journey.

And with its entrepreneurial spirit, 54 can lean into new ways of approaching success; using alternative methods and informal channels to get where it wants to go.

When We’ll Feel Gate 54 Most Prominently

The Sun transits Gate 54, Ambition, every year during the second week of January. Right now, in January 2024, that transit takes place January 6 through the 11th.
